CSUC Holds Matriculation Ceremony

CSUC has formally admitted 463 students to pursue various degree, diploma and certificate programmes of the University College.

Out of this number, 257 representing 56 per cent are males, while 206 representing 44 per cent are females. A total of 570 out of the 982 applicants gained admission into CSUC.

Prof. Emmanuel Frempong, President of CSUC disclosed this during the 36th Matriculation Ceremony of the University College. He congratulated the students and assured them of the provision of quality education by CSUC.

Speaking on the theme, “The Winning Attitude,” Prof. Kwasi Kwafo Adarkwa, former Vice-Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) urged the newly-admitted students to cultivate the needed enthusiasm toward their various fields of study.

Prof. Adarkwa who was the Guest Speaker emphasized the importance of unlimited enthusiasm in ensuring success in undertaking any activity. “It has been said that nothing great ever happens without enthusiasm. If you want to accomplish great things, if you want to realize great goals, if you want to live a great life and so on, you must possess enthusiasm for everything you do”, he stressed.

The former Vice-Chancellor also asked the fresh students to plan their activities and remain focused in life. He encouraged them to develop positive attitudes based on the guidance and direction of God.

Mr. Kwame Oti Duah, Registrar of CSUC, supported by the heads of the various academic departments administered the matriculation oath to the fresh students.
