CSU Beyond 50: New Year Message to Stakeholders
Dear Staff, Students and Friends,
Since the year is still young, I wish you all a Happy and a blessed year full of hope and fruitfulness in all your endeavours.
As you know, Christian Service University, now Chartered, stands at the threshold of a pivotal transition towards new opportunities and growth. We are lacing our boots to embark on a new journey of hope, enthusiasm and determination to lift up the institution to higher heights to the glory of God.
With this consciousness, we urge the staff to be alert and more committed, put in greater efforts, positive attitude, team spirit and sacrifice to strategically manage our affairs as a fully-fledged University. Furthermore, we admonish them to embrace innovation, self-sacrifice and renewed dedication driven by the theme for this Semester, ‘Going the Extra Mile’, inspired by Matthew 5:41. Together, we will move forward with a shared vision to shape, develop and transform the university for Excellence.’
Way forward
Under the new dispensation as a fully-fledged university, Management is working on various plans to improve our institutional structures for effective operations. Priority areas include the first CSU Graduation, strengthening of examination systems and procedures, quality assurance, teaching and research, and major infrastructural developments.
CSU’s 1st Graduation
Our inaugural graduation ceremony will take place in July or August 2025. Meticulous preparations are underway to design and issue CSU certificates, streamline internal examination processes, and establish robust approval and security systems. These initiatives are crucial to ensuring a seamless, credible and dignified graduation experience, reflecting the integrity and excellence that define CSU.
Infrastructural Agenda
High on our infrastructure development agenda are two major projects: a state-of-the-art Communication Studio for the Communication Department and an additional Skills Laboratory for the Nursing and Midwifery Departments. The University is also committed to completing ongoing projects, including the Chapman Library complex, equipping of the ICT laboratories and supply of more furniture and projectors for the classrooms. These developments reflect our dedication to providing world-class facilities that enhance teaching, learning, and research, ensuring CSU’s leadership in higher education.
Change of Leadership
I am happy to inform all friends and partners that Mr. Seth Osafo has successfully finished his term as the chairman of the University Council. He served with dedication and distinction and made invaluable contributions to the development of the University. We are forever grateful to him for his sacrificial service and focused leadership. He is replaced by Rev. Prof. Paul Frimpong Manso, former General Superintendent of the Assemblies of God Church. We warmly welcome him and promise him our fervent prayers and support.
In conclusion, we are trusting God for another fruitful and progressive year. We crave your prayers and other forms of support as we journey through the rest of 2025 and beyond.
Thank you, and may God richly bless us all.
(Prof. Sam K. Afrane)
