From 24th -25th March 2014, Rev (Dr.) Robert Owusu Agyarko, the Coordinator for the MA Theology programme participated in a Pneumatology and Contextual Theology international conference organized and co-sponsored by the Universities of Geneva and Lausanne, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The objective was to review current theological discourses on contextual Pneumatology (issues pertaining to the spirit) discuss emerging issues and identify best practices in the field of contextual theology. In all, there were nine presenters who were selected on the basis of a blind peer review of their abstracts and Rev (Dr.) Robert Agyarko was one of the nine. His topic was ‘Sunsum’ the Spirit of Life: Pneumatology in the [Akan] West African Context.
The academic international conference underscored the value of networking in bringing immeasurable opportunities not only for the participant but his/her institutions as well. It is hoped that many more academic senior members will seize the opportunity to attend international conferences and that one such will be organized at CSUC through networking.
