Facilities that are geared towards a practically-oriented education
Well-stocked computer laboratories: CSUC has two well computer laboratories with a minimum of 85 computers for practical training of BSc Computer Science and Information Technology students.
Demonstration laboratory for degree nursing students:CSUC boasts of a modern demonstration laboratory with state modern equipment, medical materials and projectors to beef classroom tuition of our nursing students.
Broadcasting studio: Students of the humanities and liberal arts faculty belonging to the Communication Studies Department, specifically the Broadcasting option, are thoroughly trained in both theory and practical with the aid of the Department’s state of the art Broadcasting Studio. At the studio, students, under the guidance of their tutors and the Studio technician are guided to create audio and video clips, edit them, record and produce or host broadcast programmes as part of their practical training.
Comfortable lecture rooms, auditorium, spacious offices
CSUC has 12 large lecture rooms with an average seating capacity of 70 students per room and two larger rooms that can seat180 students. The larger rooms have P.A. systems to aid in communication between students and lecturers. The University College also has a 280- seater multi-purpose auditorium for church and Christian programmes. The auditorium also doubles up as lecture room when it is vacant.
Spacious offices: The University College also has 35 offices of varying sizes for administrative staff and 39 offices for academic staff. The offices have internet connectivity, intercom facilities, modern office furniture conducive for working.
Residential Facility, university clinic and cafeteria
Residential facility: CSUC has a six-storey ultra-modern executive hostel with 74 bedrooms that houses a maximum of four students per room. The hostel also has suitable bunk beds with mattresses, wardrobes, cooking area, study tables and chairs to facilitate student learning. Additionally, the hostel has serene study rooms, one on each floor, a chapel that is private and conducive for both group and individual devotions as well as a common room with furniture and digital television for recreation. For physical fitness, an ultra-modern gymnasium is available, a beauty salon to groom the bodies of students and a mini-supermarket to cater for the needs of students and visitors. A mechanised borehole beefs up water supply when there is a shortage and a modern elevator caters for needs of users who opt for it. Two standby generators meet the power needs of the university community.
University Clinic: It has fitting clinical equipment, an Out Patients’ Department, a consulting room and two recovery rooms as well as a dispensary to cater for health needs of students and staff.
70-seater Cafeteria run by a well-trained caterer provides various mouth-watering dishes at afforadable prices for both students and staff.
