President of Christian Service University College (CSUC) Prof. Sam Afrane has advised students to take advantage of the Christian and professional training being given them by CSUC to chart a better direction for their lives. Prof Afrane said this in a keynote address at the 41st Matriculation ceremony of the University College.
According to the CSUC president, students of this era are confronted with having to make judicious decisions with regards to how they use various social media forms.
“Social media can be used for both positive and negative ends. On the negative side, it could be used for drug trafficking, immoral relationships, ‘sakawa’ or Internet gambling among others. However, at CSUC, you have the opportunity to deploy them for research, academic work and for creating various designs that would serve the interest of the society,” added Prof. Sam Afrane.
Prof. Afrane also advised students to eschew all forms of evil while on campus and forge healthy relationships and friendships that can contribute meaningfully to their lives.
The Registrar of the University College, Mr. Emmanuel Bedai, who administered the matriculation oath to the fresh students, said the Ceremony has formally inducted students into the University College System and so they were to adhere to the core values and mission of CSUC.
A group of matriculate’s expressed their excitement and happiness at being formally matriculated into the University College.
