PAYMENT OF FEES AND REGISTRATION NEW GUIDELINES (2019/2020)

1. GUIDELINES
a. WEEK ONE TO WEEK SIX
Students are to pay 50% of their fees to enable them register for the semester.
They are however expected to make full payment before the end of the 13th week.

b. WEEK SEVEN TO THE TENTH WEEK
Students will pay 65% and be given permission to register.
Students who could not register within this period (i.e., 1 -10 weeks
must submit their names to the Faculty Administration and give
reason(s) for their failure to pay their fees.

c. ELEVENTH WEEK TO THE 13TH WEEK (end of Teaching period)
Students will pay 100% of their fees plus a penalty of 10%.

d. FOURTEENTH WEEK TO THE END OF EXAMINATION PERIOD
This comprises two categories of students as specified below:
i. Those who reported of their financial challenges to the Faculty
Administration will pay 100% of their fees and a penalty of 15%.

ii. Those who did not report to the Faculty Administration will pay 100%
of their fees and a penalty of 20%.
After the 11th week, 100% of the fees must be paid in full before the
student will be allowed to write examination. Then the penalty
could be paid during the examination period.

e. PAYMENT OF FEES WITHOUT REGISTRATION
iii. Students who pay their fees but fail to register after the 13th Week will
pay 100% of their fees and a penalty of 5%.

FACULTY/SCHOOL ADVISORY BODY:
There shall be a Special Faculty/School Advisory body which shall receive
students’ complaints as to their inability to register because of financial
challenges. This committee or body will listen to students with these
financial challenges and advise them accordingly.
