The YLDSF as a major scholarship fund strategically initiated by CSUC has been launched to contribute to promoting the professional and leadership development of the youth in Ghana in particular, and Africa in general. Available data show that only 1 out of 10 qualified youth
has access to quality tertiary education in Africa, whilst in Ghana, less than 10% of students who graduate from SHS gain access to institutions of higher learning due to lack of scholarships and other educational aid programmes.
Present at the launch on November 28, 2021, were Rev. Dr. Kwabena Darko, Most Rev. Prof. Emmanuel Asante, Rev. Steve Asante, Bishop Nuh Ben Abubekr, Very Rev. Augustus Harry Awortwi, Dr. William Owusu Ansah, Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Agyemang among others. Following the successful launch of the Scheme, CSUC wishes to appeal to individuals, corporate bodies, churches and para-churches NGOs and donor agencies to partner CSUC in providing such needs in building the finest calibre of emerging leaders from Ghana and the rest of Africa. CSUC is ready to provide interested donors and partners with the project proposal which spells out the policies, guidelines, qualifying criteria, etc.
