“Bless The Lord Oh My Soul . . .”: CSUC Chaplaincy Board Organizes Solemn Hymn Service

Story by OIA

The Chaplaincy Board of CSUC has organized a spirit filled hymn service as part of its commitment to nurture the spiritual life of the University Community. CSUC is an evangelical non-denominational institution of higher learning committed to promoting knowledge for the training of men and women in Christian values and principles, academic and professional excellence for the transformation of society. In his opening exhortation, the Chaplain,IMG_8178Rev. Anthony Boateng-Agyenim expressed that the good Lord had blessed the community with all heavenly and earthly blessings which could not be enumerated within the limited 1-hour worship timeframe. Hence it was fitting for the university community to set aside time to praise their redeemer from whom all good things come from.

The Chaplaincy Board is responsible for organizing spiritually refreshing programmes for its Wednesday Services which is attended by both staff and students. The theme for the hymn service was: “Bless the LoIMG_8238rd of My Soul and all that is within me bless His holy name” (Psalm 103:1). The CSUC Mass choir and some gifted individuals thrilled the congregants with popular spirit filled hymns and local choral songs that sent the crowd dancing and praising the Lord.

Pastor Paul Diboro, assistant Chaplain of CSUC appealed to individual members of the congregation who were spirit filled to offer support to nurture the young men and women to become useful vessels of honour to God in their singing ministry. A total of 8 personalities including the President of the CSUC, Prof. Sam Afrane offered themselves as Patrons for the revived CSUC Mass Choir.

The service was well attended by management members, staff and students of CSUC.
