In recognition for her exceptional performance for winning first position in
the maiden Luv FM Ashanti Region High School debate in 2018,
the Management of Christian Service University College (CSUC) has in fulfillment
of its promise, offered a tuition scholarship to Miss Asakia Hanaan Hawawu,
a former student of the T. I. Ahmadiyya Senior High School, Kumasi to pursue
the Bachelor of Arts Communications Studies Programme.
To encourage the youth, the President of the CSUC, Prof. Sam Afrane,
personally welcomed Miss Asakia. He emphasized that this scholarship
is an opportunity for Miss Asakia HanaanHawawu to take advantage of
opportunities on the CSUC campus to be counted in future, among the graduates from this institution who are excelling in
various leadership positions in the country and beyond.
It would be recalled that CSUC has actively engaged in collaborative ventures that help to identify and stimulate talents
at the pre-university levels. The Senior High School Debate has so far involved collaboration with Luv FM annually,
by which CSUC hosts the participating schools across the region to develop public speaking and critical thinking
for national development.
As a competitive academic activity, the debate trains students in the practice of developing sound logical arguments and
speaking in front of an audience while thinking on their feet, making students develop initiative and leadership acumen.
Another collaborative venture in that regard has been with the Ghana Robotics Academy Foundation by which CSUC hosted
the online participation of Ghana’s teams in the most recent World Robotics Championship (2020) leading to the emergence
of the Prempeh College team as current global champions.
Whiles studying at CSUC, students have the opportunity to join a community of engaged and supportive future leaders and
entrepreneurs, where they will grow, connect, research and innovate.
CSUC offers a wide range of opportunities inside and outside its environs where students are empowered to steer the affairs
of their communities and the entire world with their diverse perspectives, involvement and innovation.
