CSUC has begun running a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology. The programme is affiliated to the University of Ghana, Legon.
The National Accreditation Board (NAB) granted the University College accreditation to offer the programme following CSUC’s successful completion of the requirements needed for the running of the Programme.
“The IT programme is specifically designed for those students who wish to specialise in the design and implementation of modern computer-based applications in a business context”, explained Mr. Chris Gilbert Abilimi, the head of the Computer Science Department.
“The course fosters skill development across a range of tools and development platforms, and encourages students to critically evaluate the role of computer-based systems in business and industry”, Mr. Abilimi added.
CSUC is admitting students into the IT programme for the 2015/2016 Academic Year and the January 2016 Admissions.
Admissions are open to all SSSCE/WASSSCE candidates with credit passes (A-D for SSSCE) and (A1-C6 for WASSSCE) in six subjects, including three core and three elective subjects. Applicants with other eligible qualifications can also apply.
Candidates who do not meet the basic entry requirements can also enrol in the Access Course for Mature Students scheduled to begin on November 19, 2015.
