In commemoration of its 50th Anniversary Celebration and publicity for its recently attained CHARTER status, Christian Service University (CSU) joined worshippers at Ebenezer Methodist Church, Bantama Branch, Kumasi, on Sunday, May 26, 2024. The event, themed “CSU@50: Building Partnerships with Churches for Local & Global Impact,” highlighted the university’s commitment to fostering collaborations with religious institutions for societal betterment.
Addressing the congregation, CSU President, Prof. Sam Afrane emphasized the university’s non-denominational nature and its reliance on friendship and effective administration for sustained growth over the past five decades. Prof. Afrane underscored the pivotal role of partnerships with churches in advancing CSU’s mission, especially as the institution transitions into a full-fledged university.
Notably, CSU recently attained a presidential charter, solidifying its position as the 10th Private Higher Institution in the country among 70 Higher Education Institutions. Prof. Afrane expressed gratitude to Ebenezer Methodist Church for being the first to respond to the University’s call for such collaborative initiatives.
The occasion served as a testament to CSU’s commitment to its Christ-like mandates and its vision for greater impact through strategic alliances with churches. As CSU looks ahead to the next 50 years, it aims to leverage these partnerships for continued growth and societal transformation.
