CSUC @ 45 – Quality is the way to go

At the New Academic year staff retreat of the Christian Service University College, CSUC chose to embrace quality standard principles to live the vision and mission of the University College in its third phase of transformation.

The Christ-centred academic institution has been devoted to excellence in teaching, learning and research for 45 years now and has graduated over 6,500 professionals who are making difference globally.

CSUC holds in esteem, the compelling vision to become a ‘University of Choice, where Jesus Christ is Lord, and is geared towards the continuous promotion of knowledge for the training of men and women in Christian values and principles, academic and professional excellence for the transformation of society.

The University College since 1974 has run in three phases with significant developments from a theological Seminary School to a College (Christian Service College) and to the current status of a University College since 2012.

Critical to the growth of Christian Service University College is the drive to become a full-fleshed Chartered University and in its bid, having submitted the first batch of documentation for consideration.

CSUC shelters about 200 full-time and part-time staff, over 1800 students, ten (10) departments including Academic and non-academic Units for both faculty and administrative functions.

The University College runs 4 faculties with 13 academic programmes consisting of; 9 undergraduate programmes and 4 postgraduate programmes in Monitoring and Evaluation, Accounting and Finance, Corporate Planning and Christian Ministry with Management.

The University College believes in the core principles of the Lordship of Jesus Christ, Hard-work, Stewardship, Integrity and Mutual Support and Care and these have reflected in its growth leading to the major achievements of CSUC including those enlisted below:

  • 1st University College to introduce MSc. in Monitoring & Evaluation in the West African Region in 2016.
  • 1st University College to introduce MSc. in Corporate Planning in the whole of sub-Saharan Africa in 2017.
  • 1st University College to run Home Health Care and Domestic Services Unit for all stakeholders including the general public.
  • 1st University College to introduce half scholarship package in payment of tuition fee for students who enroll with Aggregate 6 to 15.
  • CSUC prides itself with a faculty of 3 professors, 7 PhD holders and 7 doctoral candidates.
  • CSUC E-learning Centre for distance learning established in 2016 adds up to the list.
