CSUC Alumnus Donates GH₵10,000.00 to Alma Mater

An alumnus of CSUC and the Executive Director of the Liberty House Foundation in Accra, Rev. Luke L. Barson has presented a cheque of GH₵10,000.00 to CSUC. The donation is in support of the scholarship scheme of CSUC, instituted as part of the institution’s fund-raising initiative.

Presenting the cheque, Rev. Barson who is also the Senior Pastor at the Liberty House Christian Centre in Accra, said he was proud to be an alumnus of CSUC, adding that the gesture was in recognition of the Christian and moral values imparted to him by the University College.

Rev. Barson, a member of the Theology Class of 2004, lauded the authorities of CSUC for the massive transformation that has taken place at the University College. He called on all alumni to support the institution towards the realization of its vision.

The Ag. Register of CSUC, Mrs. Cecilia Boakye Botwe, who was joined by the Ag. Finance Officer, Mr. Joseph Amankwah and Chaplain, Rev. Dr. (Mrs.) Margaret Asabea Aboagye and other alumni executives during a brief ceremony to receive the donation on behalf of the University College, expressed her profound gratitude to Rev. Barson for his generous gesture.

Mrs. Boakye Botwe assured Rev. Barson that the donation would be used for its intended purpose.

CSUC launched a five-year fund-raising campaign in 2012 dubbed, “The CSUC Challenge: Three-in-Five Project.” The objective of the campaign is to raise US$3,000,000.00 within a five- year period for a number of projects, including the completion of a library/ICT block; construction of a clinical laboratory for the Nursing Department; and the provision of financial support for brilliant but needy students.

CSUC would like to thank all its donors for their generosity, and continue to count on the support and donations of friends and partners, alumni, and all and sundry, as the University College trains the next generation of Christian leaders and professionals to grow in Faith, excel in Scholarship and serve with Integrity.
