CSUC has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Board (NAB) to run a one year Master of Science programme in Accounting and Finance. The programme begins in September 2016.
The MSc. Accounting and Finance is designed to build on students’ existing knowledge of accounting and finance. It focuses on the role of accounting and finance in organizational management. It aims at providing students with a thorough grounding in accounting, finance, financial management, financial reporting, financial markets and investment and risk.
The programme also aims at providing students with the knowledge and skills required for a career in the financial service industry or financial consultancy. It again seeks to equip students with research training and skills to enable them overcome the communication challenges usually faced by some accounting professionals in decision making.
To gain admission to enroll in the MSc. Accounting and Finance, an applicant must have a good first degree (not below second class lower division) from an accredited institution.
Graduates of this programme will be equipped with the knowledge needed to take examinations with professional accountancy bodies such as Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
CSUC is working tirelessly to obtain professional affiliation from the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG) and the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA).
The award of the accreditation signifies that CSUC has satisfactorily met all the rigorous requirements of the highest tertiary regulatory body in Ghana.
This is yet another great achievement that underlines the University College’s commitment to providing the highest quality business education to students.
