Christian Service University College (CSUC), Kumasi has commenced a four-year Bachelor of Nursing programme bringing to five, the number of academic programmes run by the University College.
Launching the programme, the President of CSUC, Prof. Emmanuel Frempong said the objective of the nursing programme is to expand the capacity of nursing students for quality delivery of health care and help meet the growing health demand in the country.
“The programme is also aimed at empowering students to operate within ethical and legal framework, and to contribute to the body of knowledge of nursing through life-long learning for professional excellence and research.”
Prof. Frempong said CSUC would continue to pursue its course of becoming a world-class University College that trains men and women with moral uprightness, academic excellence and a passion to serve and transform society.
Dr. Samuel Adubofour, Vice-President of CSUC, enumerated the minimum entry requirements for the nursing programme as specified by the National Accreditation Board. (click here for details)
The National Accreditation Board (NAB) awarded the BSc. Nursing accreditation to CSUC in July, 2011 on the basis of satisfactory performance and successful completion of requirements needed for the running of the programme. The Programme is also affiliated to the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi.
Other academic programmes run by CSUC include Business Administration, Communication Studies, Computer Science and Theology.
