CSUC Goodwill Message

Let me on behalf of the members of the CSUC Council welcome you back to Campus and I hope you had a restful and refreshing break

You stand at the threshold of a new academic year, one that is full of potentials as well as challenges. The academic year offers opportunities to help shape the lives of the young generation in a Christian institution and to help to give them hope, the tools and the guidance they need for the future.I have been associated with CSUC for many years, starting from when it was a Theological College headed by Bill Chapman, to be followed by Mrs Juliana Senavoe, through the tenure of Prof. Frimpong, Prof. Mrs Frances Owusu- Daaku and now Prof. Sam Afranie and I can say and testify that the college has come a long way. I think we can say with the Prophet Samuel in 1 Samuel. 7:12 “ Ebenezer,Thus far the Lord has helped us’ The new academic year  offers an opportunity to make Christian Service University  College an institution of excellence in a very challenging and competitive academic environment for private universities  in Ghana. As the popular saying goes, “ when the going gets tough, the tough gets going “. The challenges facing CSUC are daunting but they are not insurmountable. The advantage we have over many private universities is that the CSUC is built on faith and hope in Christ Jesus, the one who gave the founders the vision to establish this institution.

Let me conclude by encouraging you with the words of Apostle Paul in Philippians 3:13-14 “13 Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.

We are not where we want to get to yet, but with the help of the Lord our God, and your contributions and efforts we will get there. Let us be focused and press on, determined to give our best to the one who gave the vision for this college, our Lord Jesus Christ, but for whom we will not be here.

It is my prayer that the Holy Spirit will give you wisdom and guide you in your deliberations on how to sustain the gains made during the past academic year and to enable you improve on the achievements made.

Thank you and God bless you all.

Seth Osafo , Chairman of Council
