CSUC holds 5th matriculation ceremony
Christian Service University College (CSUC) has conducted its fifth matriculation ceremony to usher in the January Regular and Weekend admitted students for the 2016/2017 academic year.
One hundred and eighty-six (186) new students were admitted to CSUC’s undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This number comprised 30 new students who were admitted to the University College’s maiden Master of Science Programme in Monitoring and Evaluation..
Addressing the matriculants, CSUC President Prof. Sam Afrane congratulated them for choosing to pursue their university education at “a university of choice where Jesus is Lord and people are equipped to impact the world”.

As part of the ceremony and in line with the President’s custom, Bibles were presented to the newly admitted students. The President admonished all freshmen to use the symbolic gift to cultivate a relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ and impact their world.
Prof. Afrane added that CSUC offers a holistic education that nurtures the heart and mind in tandem with its motto “to know Christ better and make him better known”.

The CSUC President encouraged students to deploy new and social media to facilitate research that will enhance their studies. He also asked them to make wise choices in relation to friendships, use of time and other resources so as to realize their aim for university education.
Prof. Afrane introduced to the students, the CSUC’s E-learning platform (Moodle). He explained it was a lifetime opportunity for flexibility in learning and to obtain a world class education to equip them for both the local and international market.
In his final statements, the President said “my prayer and wish for all of you is that you will be counted among those who make things happen”.

The Registrar for the University College, Mr. Bedai who officiated the ceremony advised the students to project the core values of the university college namely; Lordship of Jesus Christ, integrity, hard work, good stewardship, mutual support and care.
The fresh students were admitted to pursue programmes in Theology, Communication Studies, Computer Science and Business Administration including two postgraduate degree programmes in MSc Monitoring and Evaluation and MSc in Accounting, Banking and Finance.
