The CSUC Ladies of Excellence have outdoored their official outfit on Wednesday, November 15, 2023, at a brief but colourful ceremony. The Association was established in 2016 through the direction and leadership of the current President, Prof. Sam Afrane. The current membership of the Association is 32 and is made up of junior staff, senior staff and senior members.
The President of the Association, Dr. Mrs. Joyce Quartey, who is also the Head of Accounting and Finance Department, used the occasion to eulogise the role that women can play in enhancing institutional effectiveness and growth. According to Mrs. Quartey, the goal of the association is to promote the welfare of women and the entire University College in the areas of social, economic, spiritual, psychological and academic. Dr. Mrs. Quartey mentioned some of the innovative programmes that the Association has embarked upon and assured that the CSUC Ladies of Excellence will continue to play its role especially at the time that the University College is preparing to celebrate its 50th Anniversary.
Ms. Nelly Bannor, a full-time lecturer in the Department of Communications Studies and the speaker for the function themed her message on: “Modesty”. She explained that the Christian life is that of modesty which is expressed in thoughts, dressing, language and general lifestyle. She forcefully argued that the way to achieve modesty that pleases God is through developing a “renewed mind”. She therefore encouraged the members of the entire university community to pursue the quest to live modestly for Christ at all times to please God.
The ladies thrilled the audience with spirit filled gospel songs and choreography.
We wish to congratulate our Ladies of Excellence who are unique in the truest sense of the word.
Slogan: Ladies of Excellence: We are Unique!
