Christian Service University College (CSUC) has donated items worth 4000 Ghana Cedis to the Edwenase Rehabilitation Centre in Kumasi. The gesture formed part of activities marking the annual missions programme of the University College.
The donation was made by the Missions Week Committee led by Assistant Chaplain Pastor Paul Diboro on behalf of the CSUC. Items donated included bags of rice, sugar, beans, sachet water, oil, crates of eggs, milk and toiletries.
The head of the Centre, Mr. N. Monestro received the donation on behalf of the Centre. He thanked the Missions Committee and assured them that the items will be put to good use.
The Week was commenced with a launch during CSUC’s weekly Wednesday worship services.
The main speaker for the Service, Rev. Sharif A. S. Boateng spoke on the theme, ‘Jesus Christ, the hope of this generation’. He exhorted staff and students to put their hope in the Lord Jesus Christ alone and serve him. He also encouraged unconverted members to give their lives to Jesus Christ.
Other activities that were organized to mark the week long activities included members of the Committee and the CSUC community embarking on personal on-campus evangelism, off-campus evangelism and a donation or some community work. It was all climaxed it with a grand community church service on Sunday April, 2017.
The Missions Week programme is held every year as part of fulfilling the core mandate of CSUC namely: To know Christ better and to make Him better known.
