Christian Service University has been declared the best Higher Educational Institution in
Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) in Ghana on December 12, 2019. The University College
received a Citation of Hounour for the prestigious award.
This was announced by Prof. Sam Afrane, President of CSUC, during the 43 rd Graduation
Ceremony on December 14, 2019 which was also the graduation of second batch of Graduates of
the MSc. Monitoring and Evaluation Programme at CSUC. The President read the citation to all
present as:
“On the Occasion of the first Ghana Evaluation Awards 2019, Ghana Monitoring Evaluation
Forum is honoured to present the award for 2019 – The Best Higher Educational Institution
in M&E in Ghana goes to CHRISTIAN SERVICE UNIVERSITY COLLEGE.”
Prof. Afrane was very excited that the efforts CSUC is making towards Monitoring and
Evaluation by using its flagship MSc. Monitoring and Evaluation has yielded positive results at
the national level. He stated that the award further affirms the contribution of University College
towards national development.
He challenged the first Batch of the MSc. Monitoring and Evaluation Graduates to desist from
the pressures of corruption in the world of work and rather utilize their unique expertise to outwit
the competitive market, while they sanitize the operational standards of their respective job-
fields.
Excerpt of the M&E Programme
CSUC Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) programme is a 1year Master of Science
programme, the first to be introduced into West Africa, and the Flagship Postgraduate
Programme run by the School of Research and Graduate Studies of CSUC. The programme
seeks to provide graduates and experts who will bring integrity to the monitoring and
evaluation process in all spheres.
The programme commenced in 2016 and has graduated two (2) batches of students with a total
of 47 including 31 students who graduated this year.
