CSUC Provides Laptops To Students

As part of the CSUC president’s three-pronged approach to producing market-ready students who can create solutions to problems facing industry and society, Prof. Sam Afrane,  has launched “the laptop per student” initiative to enable CSUC students to secure a laptop and pay on an instalment basis.

“The 21st century student needs to be armed with a laptop and together with the stable Internet connectivity that CSUC offers, the student can undertake serious studies, research and do outstanding presentations,” explained Prof. Afrane.

“The laptop is a great tool to empower you for life. This initiative is a result of a collaboration between the Christian Service University College and the IMPC” added Mr. Hiten Parmer, the Manager for IPMC, Kumasi.

The CSUC president further explained that this initiative is a concrete move at consolidating his three-pronged approach of providing professional programmes that will offer quality training driven by ICT savviness in order to equip CSUC students with highly sought-after employable skills and competencies.

According to the CSUC Systems Administrator, Mr. Emmannuel Adinkrah under the initiative, students will be able to get a quality laptop now and pay within six months or one year.

A level 400 Accounting student Akosua Gyima said “the CSUC has done well to provide laptops for students.”

Leticia Adu, another level 300 Accounting student, also said “this laptop initiative will help me a lot because for some of us, we cannot readily pay for a laptop, so the payment by instalment plan will encourage us to acquire one.”

“I think it is a great initiative,” added Richard Annor, level 200 student of the Communication Studies Department.
