A CSUC outreach team led by the President, Professor Samuel Kofi Afrane, has met the University College’s alumni community in Kumasi.
This premiere meeting, held at the premises of the Revival Life Outreach Church in the Santasi-Anyinam area of Kumasi, sought to develop mutually beneficial and supportive partnerships between the CSUC and its alumni community.
Sharing his vision of moving the University College from “good to great,” the President said the CSUC would actively engage with the alumni and contribute in positive ways to enhance their personal and professional development by organising continuous education seminars and programmes for them.
Prof. Afrane said CSUC would facilitate their professional growth by offering them high quality service when they request for transcripts, attestations and reference letters.
The President enjoined the alumni to enhance the CSUC brand by being worthy ambassadors of the University College and distinguishing themselves in character, conduct and in their professions.
He also encouraged the alumni to support the University College’s admissions drive by recommending CSUC to prospective students, parents, Christian philanthropists and their families as well as corporate bodies capable of sponsoring the University College’s fundable projects.
The alumni also made significant inputs on how to sustain ongoing projects on campus and how to enhance CSUC’s image.
This maiden encounter with 28 alumni, out of over 50 of them in the Revival Life Outreach Church, was facilitated by Rev. Edward K. Manu and the delegation was hosted by the Acting Head Pastor of the Church, Rev. Oteng.
Members of the Alumni Outreach Team that accompanied the CSUC president included Mrs. Theodora Oduro, the Chairperson for the Partnership Development Office (PDO) Committee, Mrs. Joyce Quartey, in-charge of CSUC Alumni Relations and Mr. Richard Opoku, the Acting Partnership Development Officer.
