Graduating statistics
Total number of students who graduated = 438
Undergraduate = 180 representing 41%
- First-Class = 8.1%
- Second Class Upper = 36.4%
- Second Class Lower = 51.1%
- Third Class = 5.0%
Postgraduate = 258 representing 59%
Gender ratio:
- Male 54%
- Females: 46%
Research and Publication
- The total publications for 2022/23 academic year stand at 45 articles in peer reviewed journals.
- The research committee working around the clock to organize more research seminars, conferences and workshops to foster robust research ethos among faculty.
- Disbursement of publication allowance to incentivise faculty publications ongoing.
Teaching and Learning
- Drive to integrate technology into instructional practices through adoption of online learning platforms, interactive digital resources and virtual classroom technologies.
- Provision of timely access to appropriate learning materials.
- Strengthening of audits of examination scripts to ensure integrity of the assessment regime of the institution in the context of academic excellence,
- Deepened processes to enhance lecturer assessments by students as quality control measure.
New Programmes
The institution is on course to start the following programmes:
- PhD in Ministry
- MSc Digital Marketing
- MSc Investment and Financial Risk Management
- MA Events Management
- BSc Cyber Security
Admissions and Student Population
- Total current student population is 2000 compared 1544 last year (2022/23 academic year)
- More students are enrolling in the Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and Midwifery programmes (they constitute 49% of the current undergraduate student population)
- Increasing numbers in the Nursing and Midwifery Department have not affected quality output of graduates. CSUC topped the Licensure examinations in 2021/22 academic year.
Infrastructure Development
- Off campus hostel facility procured to cater for growing demand for on-campus accommodation. A total of 200 students have been secured with the off-campus accommodation.
- Setting up of new Nursing and Midwifery Department floor comprising skills lab, classrooms, and toilet facilities.
- Procurement of 300 new modern chairs to enhance teaching and learning.
