– ‘Young Entrepreneurs have been advised to lean on the biblical principles of truth, character and hard work as the solid way to survive start-up business’, during the 12th Entrepreneurship Public Lecture of the Christian Service University College on April 5, 2019.
The Chief Executive Officer for International Community School (ICS), Rev. Dr. Charles Yeboah who was the First Guest speaker at the event maintained that ‘although start-ups need government support, financial stability and well structured business lifestyle to sustain their business, the three values hold every business from collapsing.’
Dr. Yeboah challenged participants to refer to the ‘book of Proverbs’ for insight upon which successful innovative entrepreneurs like him have operated their business throughout the years.
He also advised young and up-coming entrepreneurs to see the ‘life changing innovations’ of President Paul Kagame of Rwanda, Safo Kantanka of Ghana among others as role models in their entrepreneurial endeavours.
Meanwhile, the CEO pleaded with the government of Ghana to look into its tax policy systems; ‘as lack of business focus, poor marketing and unstable huge government taxes have remained a greater cause for long-term business failures over the years.’
The Director for Business Support for the National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Plan, (NEIP), Mr. Franklin Owusu-Karikari who was the second Guest speaker also assured participants of government’s continuous support for graduate training while he outlined some free enterprises that students could take advantage of to lessen the steaming unemployment situation in the Country.
The Annual Entrepreneurship Lecture was well attended by students, staff and the media.
