THE PERSON
The Business Development Manager will act as a liaison among stakeholders in order to bring out, analyze, communicate and validate requirements for viable business ventures on or off University College Campuses. S/He will also be responsible for the planning and organization of Internship Programmes of the University College. The Business Development Manager must understand business problems and opportunities in the context of the requirements. S/He will recommend solutions that will enable the organization achieve its investment and student employment and entrepreneurship promotion goals. The Business Development Manager therefore, must be an individual who can investigate business systems and analyze business processes.
THE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Business Development Manager shall be responsible to the President and perform such functions as may be delegated to him/her. The Business Development Manager shall perform the following functions among others:
1. Provide leadership in assisting the University College to generate income through viable business ventures
2. Identify viable industries of beneficial interest to the University College and recommend their establishment on or off campus;
3. Undertake feasibility studies on potential business alternatives to guide the University College Council in the selection of viable business enterprises.
4. Prepare business plan to guide and direct the establishment of approved business venture(s)
5. Plan, organize and executive Student Internship and Entrepreneurship Programmes of the institutions
6. Work out terms of agreement for establishment of businesses and internship collaboration with corporate bodies and private investors.

THE QUALIFICATIONS
1. Must be a committed Christian.
2. Must possess a good Masters degree in Business Administration/ Economics/ Planning/ Project Management.
3. Must have a working knowledge in an Academic environment.
4. Minimum of three years’ post qualification experience in a supervisory capacity
5. Proven ability to develop, document and maintain operational policies and procedures.
6. Ability to work independently with little supervision and strong organizational and motivational skills. 7. Proven knowledge in Accounting, Marketing, project appraisal and preparation of business plans/proposals.
