Journalists Benefit from 3-Week Media Training at CSUC

Christian Service University College has offered two short media courses in ‘Media Law and Ethics’ and
‘News Analysis and Interpretation’ to media practitioners across Ghana.

According to the lead instructor, Prof. Boadu Ayeboafo, CSUC has the mandate to train professional
communicators to be well versed‘to communicate with the right standards and ethical principles
that govern media practice.’

The first course, Media Law and Ethics which began on 11th May 2019 brought together participants
who represented various media houses from Ashanti, Greater Accra and Western-North Regions. 

The first group of participants for the Media Law and Ethics course graduated on Saturday 25th
May 2019 and were presented with Certificates each.

The second programme in ‘News Analysis and Interpretation’ is scheduled to take off on
15 June, 2019. 
The Coordinator, Mr. David Kwao-Sarbah said these short courses have been designed
to upgrade the skills of professionals on-the-job and to enrich their market value.
He indicated that
other courses including Digital Android Applications Development, Internet Safety and more, have been designed and scheduled to run throughout
the year. Meanwhile, the training sessions are held on Saturdays, and take three to five days to complete each programme.

Prof. Ayeboafo has entreated the media fraternity to take advantage of the training programmes for the continuous enhancement of the media profession.
