CSUC held its 40th Matriculation Ceremony to officially admit the second batch of the January students into the University College. One hundred and twenty five (125) students, comprising 77 males and 48 females were admitted.
Out of this number, 88 students enrolled in the Weekend Stream, whiles 45 students were admitted in the Regular Stream. They were offered admissions to pursue degree programmes in Information Technology; Computer Science; Community Development; Communication Studies; Theology with Administration (Regular and Sandwich); Purchasing & Supply Chain Management; Accounting; Banking & Finance; Marketing; and Human Resource Management.
Speaking at the ceremony, the President of CSUC, Prof. (Mrs.) Frances Owusu-Daaku reiterated CSUC’s resolve to obtain Presidential Charter and become a full-fledged university. She said one important criterion to satisfy this quest was high quality of applicant’s human resources.
Prof. (Mrs.) Owusu-Daaku advised the newly-admitted students to take advantage of the opportunity CSUC has offered them to seek knowledge and wisdom, indicating that “there will be no other time like this in your lives.”
She said CSUC expected nothing less than excellence from the students in their studies, attitude and behaviour which includes dressing.
Mrs. Cecilia Boakye Botwe, Ag. Registrar assisted by the Deans of the School and Faculties administered the matriculation oath to the students.
The January admissions programme runs on part-time basis on Friday evenings and Saturdays for the Weekend School designed for working professionals; and morning sessions for the regular full-time students.
