As part of the plans for the CSUC @ 50 anniversary celebrations, a team led by Professor Sam Afrane (President) and made up of Mr. Andrews Kingsley Doku (Registrar) and Rev. Justice Boffah Pokumensah (Director, Institutional Advancement Office) have paid a courtesy call on prominent institutions and Ghanaians from Wednesday November 22, 2023 to Friday November 24, 2023. The purpose of the visit was to leverage on the 50th anniversary celebrations to build and renew national partnerships and collaborations to achieve anniversary objectives to make CSUC Great.
The visit was guided by the following objectives:
- To publicise the 50th anniversary celebrations in Accra.
- To build partnerships and collaborations with Church bodies, state institutions and corporate Ghana.
- To mobilize financial support for the four key anniversary projects namely; 1) solar energy project, 2) Improvement of IT infrastructure, 3) Purchase of bus for nursing and midwifery department and 4) Revamping of scholarship Fund.
The dignitaries visited include Bishop Dr. Gordon Kisseih, the Presiding Bishop of Life International Church; Rt. Hon. Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin, Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament; Apostle Immanuel N.O. Tettey, General Secretary, Ghana Pentecostal & Charismatic Council; Mr. Godwin Avenorgbo, Group Director of Communications – MELCOM GROUP; Hon. Dr. Osei Yaw Adutwum, MP, Bosomtwe Constituency & Minister for Education; Mr. Sulemane Koney, Chief Executive Officer, Ghana Chamber of Mines; Graphic Communications Group; and Mr. Seth Fiatia, a businessman
The visit was used to discuss issues of mutual interest in the context of the 50th anniversary celebrations.
