President’s Biography
Prof. Afrane is an Associate Professor in Planning and the past Provost of the College of Art and Social Sciences of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi. Previously, he was the Head of the Department of Planning and later Dean of the faculty of Planning and Land Economy of the University.
Professor Afrane holds a Bachelors degree in Development Planning from KNUST, Masters degree in Economics in Social Planning from University of Wales in Britain, Post-Graduate Diploma in Housing Studies from the Institute of Housing and Urban Studies in Holland, and a Ph.D in Community and Regional Planning from University of British Columbia in Canada. Dr. Afrane possesses considerable research, teaching and consultancy experience in Strategic Planning, Housing and Urban Development, Monitoring and Evaluation; Impact Assessment; Micro-finance and Enterprise Development. He has been involved in a number of research and training projects in Ghana and other countries including; South Africa, Bolivia, Gambia, Uganda, Nigeria and Malawi.
He has also served as consultant to many local and international agencies including, the World Bank, UNDP, International Labour Organisation, Australia Agency for International Development, African Development Bank, United States Agency for International Development (USAID), International Fund for Agriculture Development (IFAD), ECLOF-Geneva, Department for International Development, UK, (DFID), Tropenbos International, Opportunity International etc.
Prof. Afrane is a former member of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC) and many institutional boards/Committees. He is currently the Council chairman of Scripture Union, Ghana and Jackson College of Education, and member of the Advisory Council of World Vision International; immediate past Council chairman of Sinapi Aba Trust, New Generation Investment Services Limited; and former President of the Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants, Ghana. He has to his credit over 60 research publications, conference papers and consultancy reports.

The Vice President’s Biography
Dr Stephen Banahene, the Vice-President of the University College holds a PhD in Service Marketing (Business Management) from Universidad Empresarial De Costa Rica, Costa Rica, with expertise in Service Quality, Brand Management, and Competitive Strategies for Private Universities as well as Small and Medium Scale Enterprises including Consultancy Works in Marketing.
Dr Stephen Banahene is a Senior Lecturer and a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), United Kingdom. He has fourteen years’ experience in teaching, research, academic programme development and review, and supervision of teaching and research of academic staff. He has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students in the conduct of their research at the Christian Service University College.
Dr Banahene holds Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing, Chartered Institute of Marketing, London School of Marketing, London, United Kingdom and MA in Industrial Management Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi – Ghana. He was a lecturer in Sunyani Technical University, formerly, Sunyani Polytechnic and has previous working experience with the Ghana Export Promotion Authority and the National Commission for Civic Education before joining CSUC. He has also served as External Examiner for the University for Development Studies for a considerable number of years.
Until he was appointed the Vice-President, Dr Banahene was the Dean of Business School. He has served in several administrative positions at the Department, Faculty and University-wide levels: As Head of Department of Management & General Studies, the Acting Dean, School of Graduate Studies and Research including his membership to a number of committees and boards. He was also the Staff Representative on Christian Service University College Council for six years and is currently the Dean’s Representative on the Management Board of CSUC. Dr. Banahene is a regular reviewer for a number of peer reviewed Journals with about sixteen articles to his credit and has presented several papers at local and international conferences.
He is a Christian and is blessed with three children.
Registrar – Mr Andrews Kingsley Doku

The Registrar’s Biography
Mr Doku was the Registrar at the University of Mines and Technology, (UMaT) Tarkwa, from
2016 to 2020. Prior to that, he held various positions as Acting Registrar, Deputy Registrar,
Senior Assistant Registrar and Assistant Registrar as well as other lectureship positions.
At the University of Mines and Technology, he served as the Secretary to the University Council and other committees of the Council including the Standing and Finance Committee,
Development Committee, University Strategic Committee, Disciplinary and Statutes Review
Committee.
He was also the Secretary to the Executive Committee, Academic Board, Welfare Services
Board, Council/Academic Board Committee on Honorary Degrees, and University
Appointments and Promotions Committee (Senior Members).
Mr Doku still serves as an External Assessor of Promotions of Senior Members, Administrative
and Professionals to four (4) Universities in Ghana. He has attended several conferences,
seminars and other training programmes in higher education at various universities within Ghana
and internationally.
He is a Fellow of the Ghana Institute of Management (GIM), Civilian Institutes of Democratic
Administration (CIDA) and a Member of the Ghana Association of University Administrators
(GAUA) where he served as the President for the UMaT Branch for several years.
Mr Doku holds a Master of Arts in Economics and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and
Sociology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). He has
acquired significant experience in University Governance, Management and Administration and
has to his credit, a good number of publications in highly reputed journals.
The new Registrar is deemed poised for the executive administrative position and pledges to
bring his rich experiences and knowledge to advance the vision and mission of CSUC.
Mr Doku is a staunch Christian and is married with three (3) children.
Chaplain – Rev. Anthony Boateng-Agyenim

Chaplain’s Biography
Rev. Anthony Boateng-Agyenim is a seasoned religious and administrative leader with wide experience in Pastoral and Church ministries and long standing team leadership training and supervisory experience with excellent inter-cultural and communication skills . He was educated in Ghana, Sierra Leone and the UK and speaks English, Twi, Krio, French and has a working knowledge in Latin.
He holds a Master Of Theology degree in Systematic Theology from Trinity Theological Seminary, Legon, Accra; B.A. Hons (Theology) from the Univeristy of Wales, Lampeter, UK in addition to Diplomas in Sales Management, Administration and Marketing from the College of Professional Studies, Jersey, UK.
Several Leadership Seminars in Ghana, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Nigeria, Turkey, Brazil etc has widened his scope of education, leadership and intercultural perspectives. His ministerial experience has been gained in serving as Assistant Pastor of Trinity United Church , Legon, Accra and several positions in the Presbyterian Church of Sierra Leone where he rose through the ranks to become the Stated Clerk of General Assembly of that Church for several years before taken up his current position as Chaplain of Christian Service University College in Kumasi, Ghana.
He and his wife Helen are blessed with four school going children.
Ag. Director of Finance
Mr. Osei Yeboah Asuamah is a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG). He has 7 years experience in Auditing and financial administration in the Education sector.
Mr. Asuamah is a graduate of Kumasi Technical University, Bachelor of Technology, Accounting with Computing.
Mr. Osei joined Christian Service University College, CSUC, in August 2016. He was appointed as Senior Auditing Assistant with specific responsibility for the University’s Audit Unit regarding internal control and assurances from August 2016 to April 2019.
He also worked as an Accounts Manager at Holy Trinity Lutheran School, Kumasi, from July 2013 to July 2016.
Currently, Mr. Asuamah is the Acting Director of Finance responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the University College. He oversees a wide range of financial operations for CSUC, including budget and planning, treasury management, advice on financial administration and ensuring compliance with all accepted financial practices.
Mr. Osei Yeboah is passionate about result-orientedness in financial management. He is a member of the Christ Cosmopolitan Inc. Church and a Missionary
Deans Representative’s Biography
Dr. (Mrs.) Joyce Ama Quartey holds a PhD in Microfinance from the University of New England, Armadale, Australia. Her research areas are microfinance, corporate finance, financial markets and institutions and international finance.
Dr. Quartey holds an MSc in Development Finance from the University of Manchester, UK and a BA in Economics and Dip. Ed from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana.
Dr. Quartey is a Senior Lecturer with eighteen years’ experience in teaching and research. She has taught at both undergraduate and graduate levels and also supervised the research works of both undergraduate and graduate students at Christian Service University College.
Dr. Quartey is currently the Dean of the School of Business and the Head of the Department of Accounting and Finance. She is also the President of CSUC Ladies Association (Ladies of Excellence). She has served in various capacities at the Department, Faculty and University-wide levels as Dean of Students, Coordinator of Interdepartmental Seminar and Public Lectures and has also served on a number of committees and boards at CSUC. She is currently the Deans’ Representative on the Management Board of CSUC. Before joining CSUC, Dr. Quartey was the Head of Secretaryship and Management Department at the Tamale Technical University, formerly, Tamale Polytechnic.
Dr. Quartey is the Financial Advisor of Success Link Micro-Credit. She is also one of the Directors of Global Agenda for Sustainable Development, a think tank based in Kumasi, Ghana.
She is married and blessed with a daughter.
Dean Representative’s Biography
Nelly Fosu Bannor is a Lecturer, Business Communicator and Student Counselor. Formerly, she was a senior administrator at the Perez University College, past Pan African Christian University, Winneba.
Nelly Fosu Bannor holds an MPhil in Communication and Media Studies from the University of Education, Winneba. She also has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Biblical Studies (certified by Trinity Theological Seminary) from the Pan African Christian University, now Perez University College.
She possesses an extensive background in interpersonal and public communication skills, administration, customer service and team leading, in a wide variety of high-pressured and deadline driven environments.
Her area of specialization is Public Relations, Advertising, Organizational Communication and Development Communication.
At CSUC, she has served as the acting PRO, member of the admission’s committee where she has spoken on behalf of the school on diverse platforms. She is currently the Dean of Students’ Affairs.
Along with Ginn Bonsu Assibey, Benjamin Prempeh of the Department of Communication Design, Faculty of Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi – Ghana, they have published a work on Advertising in Ghana: A Retrospective Account of Message Execution Tactics, and many more under review.
