Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the appointment of a Vice-President for CSUC. The Vice-President for Academic Affairs will advise and assist the President and provide leadership to the academic and academic-related units of the University College. Among the many responsibilities of the Vice President will include the following:
Responsibilities:
- Be responsible for all academic activities including faculties and schools.
- Oversee academic planning, academic programme review, and curriculum development.
- Supervise the deans of the schools and faculties and the director of library, evaluating and approving recommendations for President’s approval.
- Liaise with the National Accreditation Board on new programmes/ re-accreditation of the University College and its programmes.
- Maintain liaison with affiliates of the University College on academic performance and further develop strategic partnership that will bring lasting value and networks to enhance teaching and research.
- Provide leadership in creating and maintaining academic standards and policies in the University College.
Minimum Qualification and Personal Qualities:
- Must be a practising Christian.
- Proven strong strategic leadership track record.
- Must be at least a Senior Lecturer’s status with a PhD. Professorial status will be an advantage.
- Must have at least ten (10) years working experience in a tertiary institutions or academic related institution of which five (5) years should have been in leadership position.
- Must have credible scholarly credentials in teaching, research and publication.
- Must exhibit high sense of work ethics and diligence.
- Must have proven capacity to motivate and inspire staff and students.
