Mr. Kwame Frimpong, an alumnus of the Christian Service University College (CSUC) has advised students to make effective use of their time by directing their energies toward rigorous research and reading to enhance their academic performance and practical knowledge.
He said students should desist from acts that adversely affect their academic performance and general well-being.
Mr. Frimpong who is also the Public Relations Officer of the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) was speaking at the orientation ceremony organised for Level 200 and 300 freshers of CSUC. He spoke on the topic, “Combining academics with work.”
Mr. Frimpong also encouraged the formation of study groups among the students to facilitate the exchange of ideas and knowledge.
The 3-day orientation programme was to familiarise the newly-admitted students with the programmes and facilities of the institution. Students were briefed on the history of CSUC, rules and regulations as well as some salient activities of the University College.
The next orientation ceremony for Senior High School graduates who will gain admission into the University College is scheduled to take place from October 5 to October 7, 2011.
